Don't ask your clients to do anything your not willing to do yourself

So today I got wet, really wet! Thankfully I was wearing a skirt and not slacks! Today Jim and I photographed Emily & Heath's wedding. They are from Las Vegas and came to Santa Barbara to have their beach wedding. They were so laid back about doing pictures on the beach that Jim asked if they would be interested in getting in the water. They immediately said yes and I had to figure out how I was going to get my best shot. I decided that if they were willing to get wet I should be too! Keep in mind we still had a four hours reception to attend. But after getting in the water it was well worth it. Standing on shore just wouldn't have been the same! If you want to build trust with your clients you gotta be willing to get a little deeper in the water than they are!
