Spinning Tea Party!

When we met with Kylie and Zack to go over our package options for their wedding we had no idea where it was going to take us. During dinner the four of us discussed several options for their engagement session, they wanted something fun and exciting, we said Disneyland. Little did we know that Kylie and Zack are huge Disney fans and have annual passes!

So we spent Sunday at Disney, getting dizzy on the tea cups, flying on Dumbo and braving the rapids over in California Adventure, what a great way to spend a day. Oh yeah, and we got some great shots of Kylie and Zack too!

Bay Area for Turkey Day!

Since Jim and I had our first consective days off in quite awhile, we decided to go to my Aunts house up in the Bay area. It was a nice relaxing weekend and we got enjoy our time with her little dogs! They were the cutest dogs ever...she had a total of five, but my favorites were Pogo and Cody!

So today we headed back home because tomorrow we are going to Disneyland with Kylie & Zack (we'll defintely keep you updated on our adventures!). The traffic was pretty good, until we got stuck on the Bay Bridge! Of course while on the bridge I reminded Jim of the earthquake in 1989 when the bridge collapsed, but we made across slowly and safety. Since we were stuck I pulled out my camera and got a few cool shots!

Elisa & Sergio

Today we got to meet up with Elisa & Sergio in Long Beach. We intially met them at the beautiful church where they are getting married. Elisa and Sergio then took us on an up and down, woop-di-doo, through the mountain drive to a beautiful location in Palos Verdes. A cliff side view of the ocean was a perfect location for their engagement session. This was a trip worth making today and we can't wait until March to see their wedding!

Save The Date...

We had such a great time with Danielle and Nathan! Yesterday we spent the evening in studio for their "Save the Date" photos. Danielle and I made the cards while Nathan and Jim talked about mountain biking and hockey. We would interrupt them to discuss wedding plans but I think they were more interested in each others stories about their sports injuries!

Today we started part two of our shoot at the park with Danielle, Nathan and Sadie, their 10 month old Black Lab. No matter how romantic we tried to make it, Sadie always stole the spotlight!

Our final stop was at The Santa Monica Pier. Even though the fog was rolling in we were able to have a great time playing games, strolling on the pier and goofing around on the beach, all the while getting some great shots! Once again my feet got wet, but it was all worth it, and to show their appreciation, Danielle and Nathan baked us a basket full of bread, cookies, and brownies!!! Yum!!!!

Our Three Day Weekend!

We started Saturday with a gorgeous day in Santa Barbara for Nikki and Mike's wedding. The natural daylight was amazing, it totally created the perfect romantic setting for their day. It fully captured the emotion they had for each other, it could not have been planned better!

Sunday was a little different, the weather was not as cooperative for Stacey and Erik, but with eyes like hers, it is hard not have bright viberant images. The botanical garden provided the perfect setting for their wedding, with the misty rain adding a beautiful, soft glow to the day.

Monday was a fun day with Lizeth and Auner. Jim met them up in Santa Barbara for their engagement session. They started with a walk in the park, followed by a picnic by the pond and just like the perfect end of a day in Santa Barbara they wound up at the beach for sunset! The perfect end to a perfect weekend!

It's never to early for Christmas!

What do you get when you cross a loving couple, a beautiful day in Montecito and an engagement session?
Oh, I almost forgot, and a real love of the holidays...

As we photographed Liz and Tyler we could see, even before the costumes came out, how they were a perfect match. Whether he was carrying her on his back or if they were nose to nose their connection was obvious. So the answer to the riddle above......you get a great opportunity to get to know who your clients are and why they belong together.
